The Journey

Life’s journey for Betty Ann Hoskins Barnes began on Wednesday, May 16, 1945 in Thomasville, North Carolina. She was born to the late George Hoskins Sr. and Roseella Hudson Hoskins. Betty’s life journey came to a quiet and peaceful closure on Saturday, May 7, 2016. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Betty attended the public schools of Davidson County. She was lasted employed with Miller Desk Incorporation. She enjoyed spending time with family. Betty was know as a quite and laid back person. She enjoyed individual games such as word search and solitaire. Daily she would entertain herself by watching daytime television shows such as: Jerry Springer, Steve Wilko, Maury, and Family Feud. On sunny days Betty loved sitting on the porch watching neighbors and friends pass by.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Barnes Sr.; one daughter, Shirley Ann Barnes; one sister Rosa Lee Caldwell; two brothers, George Hoskins and Jimmy Hoskins.

Survivors to cherish her memories are her son, Lewis Barnes, Jr. of Thomasville, NC; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, one loving sister, Shirley Capers of the home, one nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on,and cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, far as long as there is memory, they'll live on in the heart.
