Obituary

John Henry Miller, son of the late Henry Miller and Ella Lee Moore was born January 27, 1927 in Hickory Grove, South Carolina. On Sunday, October 9, 2016 he was granted his angel wings at Greenhaven Health and Rehabilitation Center, Greensboro, North Carolina.

John attended the public schools of York County. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Bertie Miller.

John served in the United State Army, a veteran of World War II. He enjoyed football, NASCAR, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. John had a very kind and gentle soul; a loving and generous heart, and was always willing to give to others. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many, and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was proceed in death by his brother, Robert Moore Sr.; sister Robbie Lee Smith; and nephew Robert Moore Jr.

His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his loving family, devoted nieces, Chiquita (Timothy) Boyles, Lucretia Moore, and Beatrice Moore Kearse all of Columbia, SC , and Geraldine Williams of Winnsboro, SC; a special nephew Quincey Moore of Charlottesville, VA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
