Obituary

Doretha Eller Mitchell Graham was born on March 11, 1929 to the late Thomas Erastus and Ollie Victoria Eller in Winston– Salem, North Carolina. On December 31, 2016 she peacefully transformed into heaven while a patient in Abbott Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lexington, North Carolina.

In 1957 Doretha moved to Thomasville, North Carolina along with her three children: Sandra Patricia Green, Anthony Thomas Mitchell and Sharon Vitoria Mitchell. Knowing the importance of a spiritual foundation Mother Graham joined First Missionary Baptist Church where she served diligently on the Usher Board No.1, Willing Workers Mission Group and Sanctuary No.1 Choir until her health declined. Not only did she believe in serving the Lord, she also believed it was a honor and privilege to serve. “She became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given by the working of his power”. Ephesians 3:7.

Mother Graham was employed with Davidson Laundry, Thayer Coggins Furniture Company, and retired from Carolina Seating in 1991. After retirement she enjoyed sports, cooking, and her involvement within the church and community. She will be missed by all.

As heaven gates opened to receive Doretha, she will join her parents, husband, Clarence Graham; and two children: Sandra Patricia Green and Anthony Thomas Mitchell; three siblings: Ernestine Eller, Jeraldine Beauford and Thomas Eller all in which proceed her in death.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Reverend Sharon Victoria Mitchell of Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren: Tamara Royster of Copperas Cove, TX, Ollie (Kevin) Elizabeth Williams of Mt. Washington, KY, Jason (LeAnne) Anderson of Roseville, MN, Tyronne Anderson, Anthony Mitchell, Jr., Carl Lee Mitchell, a nephew Carl Lee Eller (Molly) all of Minneapolis, MN. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, special cousins Mylinda Wooten and Doris Pratt, special friends and neighbors Margaret and John Abrams and other relatives and friends in the Thomasville, Midway and Winston-Salem areas.
