The Obituary

Prevan Dale Borders, Sr. was born on May 10, 1966 to the late Matthew Borders and Nancy Lee Brown in Thomasville North Carolina. Giving his life to Christ Prevan accepted his calling on March 12, 2017 to be with the Lord.

Prevan graduated from Thomasville Senior High School in Thomasville, NC with the class of 1985. While a senior, Prevan was named all conference in football for his impressive athletic abilities. He was a die heart fan of the Dallas Cowboys and North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Known by family and friends as “Big Prev” , Prevan was outgoing, outspoken, full of humor which made him pleasant to be around. His words of wisdom would change your outlook on any situation. His baking and cooking skills would savor your taste buds. He was a semi-pro bowler. He enjoyed traveling especially by sea. He was a huge movie buff, but only for the big screen! His favorite pastime was listening to jazz and Frankie Beverly and Maze while spending time with family.

Prevan’s career path lead him to the position as a supervisor at Cardinal Health Distribution Center and the ABC store.

Proceeding him in death were his parents and one sister, Sheri Kenndey.

Leaving to cherish his fond memories are two sons, Prevan Dale Borders, Jr. and Kaylup Lamier Borders both of Thomasville, NC, two sisters, Regina (Mark) Douglas and Donna (Eric) Morrison both of High Point, NC, a goddaughter, Brianna Smith of Greensboro, NC, a caring friend, Alesia Borders of Thomasville, NC, and a special friends, Cynthia Pemberton of Thomasville, NC and a best friend, Elaine Leath, godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Death leaves a heart ache, only God can heal.

Love leaves a memory, no one can steal!
