Obituary

Fredrick Decharles Adkins the son of Robert Adkins and the late Mary Alice Morris Adkins was born on December 7, 1958 in High Point, North Carolina and departed this life on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.

Fredrick fondly known as “A.D.” was a loving and jovial person. He had a strong passion for children, especially his grandson, Feronta. He volunteered with Youth AAU teams and The Special Olympics. This allowed him to do what he loved which was traveling. If Fredrick was not coaching sports, he would be watching sports. He was an avid sports fan for basketball and football. His favorite team was the “Detroit Lions”. He was very detail oriented in everything he did. Including occupation as a construction laborer.

Everyone can contest to this by his fashionista style; bright colors, brand oriented and always fit for fashion.

Fredrick was a proud member of First Baptist Church in Charleston, WV under the leadership of Pastor Paul A. Dunn. His ministries were the sound system and protection of his pastor as an armor bearer. Fredrick’s love for the Lord never wavered, his biggest passion in life was God, family, and friends.

Fredrick leaves to cherish his memories are one daughter, Tasha Thomas of Thomasville, NC; one son, Tray Adkins of Maryland; one grandson, Feronta Thomas, father, Robert Adkins of Detroit, MI; two sisters: Lori Lithicome and Alesia Adkin Borders both of Thomasville, NC, three nephews: Prevan Borders, Jr., Robert Lithicome, II, and Kaylup Borders all of Thomasville, NC, one great nephew, Josiah Crowley of Thomasville, NC and other relatives and friends.
