The Obituary

Gloria McKnight was born on July 25, 1955 in Kingstree, South Carolina to the late Future McKnight and Lucille Ferrell McKnight. On Friday, May 25, 2018, she exchanged this life for life eternal while surrounded by her family.

Gloria attended and graduated from the Baltimore City School System. Having become disabled as a young child, Gloria was unable to maintain external employment but worked instead as a homemaker raising her children. In 2006, she moved to Thomasville and continued caring for her family.

Gloria loved her family, especially her children, and she poured out her best effort to make sure her family was always provided for. She was a casual woman who enjoyed watching television in the comfort of her home. She will be remembered for her motherly kindness and devotion.

Gloria was 6th of seven children whom five preceded her in death, Sadie McKnight, Joe McKnight, Ronnie McKnight, Jessie McKnight and James McKnight.

Left to cherish her memories include her children, Reginald McKnight, Eric McKnight, Joyce McKnight and Kesha Smith; two grandchildren, Kazyrein and Zaiden, a brother, Lucius McKnight, a uncle, Nathaniel McKnight and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
