Taylor’s Journey

On November 3, 1992, Taylor was sent onto this earth to begin her beautiful journey. Our heavenly Father entrusted her to Teresia Michelle Medley and Shanon Stanback in Winston Salem, NC. He further entrusted Matthew D. Hood to step into the role of fatherhood to help raise Taylor from a child into adulthood.

After receiving her early education from Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, NC, Taylor went on to enroll and become a student at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC where she made new friends and begin to touch even more lives.

Taylor enjoyed singing, shopping, laughing, spending time with The Lord and being around family. She could be described as being outgoing, intelligent, feisty, opinionated along with many other beautiful qualities. Taylor had a laugh that was truly infectious and just to hear it would make you join in whether you wanted to or not.

Taylor regularly attended Bethel Outreach International Church in Charlotte, NC. Under the teaching of Bishop Larry Jackson, she began to receive answers to many questions that she had about Christ and got an extra thrust into the The Word of God.

Taylor has returned home to The Father leaving behind her mom, Teresia M. Medley of Charlotte, NC; her birth father, Shannon Stanback, Sr. and her second father, Matthew D. Hood; one sister, Mahoganie Medley (KG) Pagan of Concord, NC and four brothers, Matthew Medley of Charlotte, NC, Jerimiah Gilliam, Shanon Stanback, Jr. and Brian Hawkins of Winston Salem, NC; her grandmother, Mary Standback; three aunts, Y’Londa Medley Jackson of Concord, NC, Cara (Fred) Byas and Kimm (Derek) Pleasants of Winston Salem, NC. She also leaves behind three uncles, Roderick Jackson, Joel Stanback and Dana Stanback, Sr. all of Winston Salem, NC; three beautiful nieces, Faith Williams, Kelsea Pagan and Kelise Pagan of Concord, NC. She also leaves behind a great amount of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that love her very much.
