Obituary

John Calhoun Robinson, known as our “JC”, was born in Thomasville, NC to the late Anna Robinson and John Calhoun Robinson Sr. of Thomasville, NC. “JC” departed this life on October 7, 2018. He was a strong man, who endured many trials and tribulations, but he never gave up. He fought to stay alive and to be there for his family.

JC was a graduate of Church Street School. He served in the United States Air Force and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal of Honor. He retired after 23 years of service. After his retirement he was employed with Hydro Conduit, Overnight Trucking Company, and Thomasville City Schools. He was a proud member of the American Legion where he was a lifetime member. JC also helped start the Thomasville Head Start Program. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Mary Lucille Robinson. JC took care of everyone; especially all the neighborhood children who were welcomed into his home. At any time, you could go to JC’s for some good old fashion breakfast. He was famous for his breakfast and let’s not forget a good pot of pinto beans. His love for others spoke home to many. JC touched the lives of so many and he was living proof of how a man should take care of his home. He worked hard; sacrificed so much for his family to stay together and to love one another. JC loved everybody.

Surviving to cherish his precious memories are four sons, John (Lannie )Robinson, High Point, NC, Minister Corey (Nicole) Robinson, Fort Mitchell, AL, Timothy (Evet) Robinson, and Cordarius Robinson, both of Thomasvile, NC ; 17 precious grandchildren, Marquis Camp, Shanterra Robinson, Michael Camp, Jarrell Robinson, Toni Flora-Sime, Ryan Mack, Tameka Thomas, Shonta Gandy, Monica Robinson, Ashley Robinson, Shanese McClain, Devon McClain, Shanté McClain, Corey Robinson Jr, Trevone Robinson, Tyeshia Foster and Allen Wilfoung; six god – daughters, Veetra Alexander, Chasity Hogan, Renee Dow, Marquia Neal, Tanisha Kirkland, and Janet Bradley; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

To my beloved wife Camellia Hogan-Robinson, I will always love you and miss you.

Humbly Submitted,

The Family
