Life’s Journey
On December 23, 1931, God blessed the late Reverend James Bozier and Sarah Fordham Bozier with a lovely daughter named Sarah Jane in Pinewood, South Carolina. She entered into heaven on November 9, 2018.
Sarah was educated in the Clarendon County school system in Pinewood, South Carolina. She met and married the love of her life, Albert Thompson on July 6, 1958 and they moved to Thomasville, North Carolina. To this union one son was born, Jerome Parrish Thompson. Planted in her faith Sarah was a faithful member of Zion Tabernacle F. B. H Church until her health decline. She retired from Baptist Mills Home for Children as a cook after many years of service.
Sarah was a very loving person who loved her family. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Sarah was very independent even during her later years. She enjoyed cooking, watching General Hospital, WWE wrestling, the Dukes of Hazard and gardening.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert Thompson; four brothers, Albert, Lawrence, Harry and James and three sisters, Willene, Alice and Mattie and a daughter-in-law, Mary Thompson.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Jerome P. Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Jerome T. Thompson, of Thomasville, NC; Dominique Thompson and Turkessa (Edward) Brown, both of Winston-Salem, NC; six great grandchildren; Lakwaisha Inman, Malaysia Thompson, Destiney Taylor, De’Arries Brown, Demetria Brown and Desiree Brown; three brothers-in-law, Ernest “Pete” Jackson, Ben James and Morris (Louise) Thompson; seven sisters-in-law, Beulah Clark, Loretta (Ernest) Washington, Adell (Samuel) Johnson, Rose (Eddie) Bozier, Sally Thompson, Emma Thompson and Marilyn Thompson; a care giver, Regina Inman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
