Obituary

Jimmie Lee Brown, son of the late Clara Brown Clark was born June 9, 1949 in Pinewood, South Carolina. On December 3, 2018 he was granted his angel wings at Shannon Gray Health and Rehabilitation Center, Jamestown, North Carolina.

Jimmie was a simple man who enjoyed the finer things in life: God, family and friends. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he sung on the male chorus until his health declined. Jimmie was united in holy matrimony to the former Eloise Camp for thirty-five wonderful years. He was employed with Wesleyan Christian Academy and Custom Finishing. He was a fan of the Carolina Panthers, enjoyed fishing, and attending gospel singings featuring Lee Williams. Jimmie was known for his love of fashion and will be remembered as one who was always well dressed.

Surviving to cherish precious memories include his wife, Eloise Camp Brown of the home; four step children, Charles Camp, Tony Camp and Kenneth Jefferies all of Charlotte, NC, and Veronica (James) Johnson of High Point, NC; ten grandchildren of which three were special to him - Joshua Jefferies, Recca Johnson and Baron Johnson; three sisters, Addie Deloris (Charlie, Jr.) Collins, Suffolk, VA, Claudie (Jerry) Angrum, Brooklyn, NY, and Harriet (Frank) Wilson, Sumter, SC and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
