Her Journey

On February 11, 2019, at 8:14 am, three days prior to Valentine’s Day our hearts were broken as Linda Arlene Humphries Stukes transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life. At 8:1 5 am, we rejoiced as she entered into God’s heavenly gates. Linda was born on June 13, 1952 to the late James and Mary Alice Humphries in Thomasville, North Carolina.

After receiving her early education from Church Street School in Thomasville, NC. Linda earned her Certified Nursing Assistant’s certificate which rewarded her with several heart filled positions caring for others. Her employers were: Hospice of the Piedmont, Evergreen Nursing Hone, Visiting Angels Healthcare and several private duty positions for over 30 years.

Linda was loving, caring, and family oriented. Family and faith were the two most important things to her. She loved her family dearly and did whatever she could to ensure they had everything they needed. She was very selfless; always putting everyone before herself. Her favorite pastime was collecting household items. If you needed it, Linda had it! She enjoyed crocheting, adult coloring, crossword puzzles, D I Y projects, and reading; especially self-help inspirational books.

Linda was proceeded in death by her parents and one brother, James Humphries, Jr.

She leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to her children, Jerrod (Katherine) Stukes of Greensboro, NC, Brandon (Mandy) Stukes, of Lexington, NC, Christina Coleman of the home, Shantara Coleman, and Christopher Coleman of Thomasville, NC; six grandchildren, Cameron Boyles, Natalie Smith, Ashiya Walker, Sherrod Williams, Traelan Autry and Breece Abrams-Ward; her fiancé, Leroy Harrington of Thomasville, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,

I have kept the faith.

Timothy 4:7
