Life Journey

Elowise Mouzone Andrews was born on June 27, 1958 in Summerton, South Carolina to the late Willie and Alma Stackhouse Mouzone. Her earthly journey came to a quiet closure on March 6, 2019.

Elowise knew the importance of a strong spiritual foundation. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Summerton, South Carolina under the leadership of Reverend David Lawson. She also attended Cornerstone Church of Christ. She was a dedicated employee of Asco Company for 10 years.

Elowise known as “Weez” by beloved family members and “Peggy” by classmates and friends. Elowise was a woman with a big heart. She loved children; always instilling the importance of education. Her hobbies were cooking, fishing, sewing and thrift shopping. Her laughter and jovial spirit will be missed by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Michael Andrews, brother, Willie Mouzone, and four sisters Alice Mouzone, Roberta Mouzone, Brenda Mouzone , Barbara Ann Mouzone.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her three special nephews and two nieces whom she reared as her own children, Jaquaine Mouzon, Alfonza Dwight Gipson, Derrick Adams, Jr., Genesis Adams and Samaria Adams, and Glen Johnson, Jr., five sisters, Daisy Mouzone Shirley Dingle, Fannie (Preston) Lawson, Arvella Mouzone and Joyce Mouzone all of Thomasville, NC, two borthers, Harry Lee Mouzone and Joseph Mouzone both of Thomasville, NC, several in-laws, Fory Lee (Lula Mae) King of Brooklyn, NY, Juline K. (John) Brailsford of Summerton, SC, Virginia Andrews, Jr. of Hartford, CT, Margaree (James) Andrews-White of Windsor, CT, Albertus Andrews of Hartford, CT, Lucille Medas, of CT, Henry Andrews,Jr. of CT, Henritta (Issac) Belser-Blachard of TX and Betty White Hurst of Fla, finance, Glen Johnson, Sr. of 19 years and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
