On Sunday, April 28, 2019, while surrounded by his family, Jerry Lee Click transitioned from his earthly life to life eternal.
Life’s earthly journey for Jerry began on Friday, September 19, 1952 in Lexington, North Carolina where he was born to the late Willie B. and Margaret Edwards Click.
At an early age, Jerry joined the home church, New Zion Baptist Church. He attended the Davidson County Public Schools and graduated from Lexington Senior High School. After graduation, he enlisted into the U. S. Army where he served during the Vietnam Era. He was a Purple Heart and Medal of Honor Recipient. After his tour of duty, he returned back to North Carolina. He joined the staff at Mannington Tile Company with 21 years of service before the company closed.
Friends and family will remember Jerry as a very dependable man who was always there to help out if anyone ever needed anything. He was a hard worker and made sure that his family had all that they needed and more. He loved spending time with his family. Jerry also enjoyed playing spades and watching sports, especially wrestling. He was a die hard Tar Heel fan. Jerry had a spontaneity side that you had to know and love. If he was in the mood to go, he would go with or without you. This is something that his family will truly miss. He will be missed by all who God allowed to cross his path.
Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents; one brother, Leonard Click; two sisters, Wanda Clink and Teresa Click.
He leaves a legacy of love to his life long companion of 43 years, Lola Marsh; two daughters, Aquanda Marsh, Zikia (Kareem) Grant, Sr., and one son, Jervarious Marsh all of Thomasville, NC; one sister, Brenda Click of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Willie Click and Gary Click both of Lexington, NC; two grandchildren, Skyah Grant and Kareem Grant, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Love bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all thing,
endures all things.
