Obituary

Larry Keith Hogan, Sr. was born on August 13, 1958 in Thomasville, North Carolina to Emma Hogan. His soul took flight to clasp the Master’s hand on July 29, 2019.

Larry attended Thomasville City school system and graduated with the class of 1976. On February 13, 1995 he married Shannon Sanders Hogan. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, brother and uncle. His former employers were Thomasville Furniture Industries and Wagner’s Supermarket.

Larry was a strong advocate for his community. His last mission was to revive the Martin Luther King Park to ensure a safe playground for the community. He was a two time contender for City Councilman of Thomasville. He gave unselfishly to his family and friends. Everyone knew who to call when they needed something handled. Larry would never say “no”.

In his leisure time, Larry would visit East Main Car Care, cook on his grill, and watching his favorite team the Washington “Redskins”.

Larry was preceded in death by his son, Larry Keith Hogan, Jr.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving and devoted wife, Shannon Hogan of the home, one son, Brendon Sanders of Thomasville, NC, one daughter, Nicole (Tony) Ford of Thomasville, NC; one godson, Asher Williams; four sisters, April Hogan, Victoria (Leo) Hogan, Darlene Hogan and Camilla Hogan all from Thomasville, NC; two brother, Craig (Lois) Hogan of High Point, NC and Michael Hogan of Thomasville, NC two special friends, Ken and Lisa Shell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
