Obituary

Clarice (Kitty) Constine Molock Welborn, daughter of the late Charles and Grace Molock, was born September 18, 1923 in Linkwood, Maryland.

She was a graduate of Delaware State High School. Clarice married Paul Austin Welborn on December 15, 1947 and moved to Thomasville where she provided domestic service in private homes.

Clarice joined Central United Methodist Church where she served on the choir and worked with various committees. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and playing card games. When asked how she chose to live her life, her answer was always the same – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” and “it is better to give than to receive”. Her other advice was to never give advice unless asked.

Preceding Clarice in death was her husband, Paul and daughter, Pauline Welborn Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Welborn-Dogan, four grandchildren, Jamal Brown, Nova Brown, Erik (Kelly) Dogan, and Kelsi (Bernard) Flynt, 6 great grandchildren, one sister, Thorris Brown, two brothers, Norris (Serena) Molock and Ofella (Inez) Molock and a host of other relatives and friends.
