Obituary

Beatrice Faye Wiggings Doomes was born on April 21, 1940 in Jesup, Georgia, to the late Dalton Wiggins and the late Carrie Bell Wiley Wiggins. She departed this life on November 29,2019 in Dumfries, VA. “Bea” as we called her was a member of Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church where she gave her life to Christ at an early age.

She was educated in Wayne County Training Northside School system in Jesup, Georgia, where she excelled in her studies. She furthered her education by attending Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida majoring in Business Education.

While visiting her sister, the late Ronella Knowles, she met and married the late Ezekiel Cooper, Jr. to this union two children were born, Ezekiel Cooper III and Monteea Lavette Cooper. In 1974, she married Pastor Moses Doomes, Jr., who also preceded her in death. Bea was an educator for many years teaching grades 1-12. After years of teaching she finally retired. She loved to sew, crochet and singing.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her two children, Ezekiel Cooper III of Dumfries, VA and Monteea (Pastor Charles) Duncan of Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Charles J. Duncan Jr., of Los Angeles, CA, Lillie A Cooper and Micheal D. W. Cooper both of Woodbridge, VA; two uncles, Dan Brown and Alfred Brown both of Bronx, NY and a host of other family members, friends and loved ones
