Obituary

Rachel Belle Hudson was born on February 5, 1949 in Randolph County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Doak and Rosa Harris Hudson. She quietly transitioned from this earthly life for eternal life on April 1, 2020.

Rachel was a graduate of the Church Street School with the Class of 1965 in Thomasville, North Carolina. Afterward she received her Associate Degree in Accounting from Davidson Community College.

Family and friends will cherish their memories of Rachel as a sweet, loving and kind person. She was a great provider for her family as well as her community. Willing to give you anything she had, even the shirt off her back.

Rachel loved social gatherings: cookouts and house parties. Her house parties were a true reflection of her spirit--full of life. She also enjoyed listening to music (oldie, but goodies) and traveling to the beach.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Barbara Hudson.

Rachel leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Tammy Hudson and Rose Ann Hudson both of Thomasville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren: Bryant Hudson, Arsenio Hudson, Alliyah Davis, Avery Hudson, Latasha Hudson, Recardo Hudson, Alvin Hudson and Erica Hudson; 10 great-grandchildren; two god-children, LaTasha Wrenrick and Tiffany Hare; one brother, Swanson (Susie) Hudson of Thomasville, NC, three special friends: Emma Hogan, Louise Gathier, Sheila Jackson; two special cousins, Brenda Green and Bessie Richardson and a host of other relatives and friends.
