Obituary
On Saturday, April 11, 2020, Mary Magdalene Horne Beasley transitioned from her earthly life to life eternal. Her earthly journey began on July 28, 1930, in Anson County, North Carolina to the late Lee Vander Horne and Cleon Maske Horne. Mary attended school in Ansonville, North Carolina; afterward in 1950 she moved to Thomasville, NC. In 1992, she completed the Nursing Assistance program at Davidson County Community College. She worked at several places in many capacities prior to retiring from Primary Health Concept.
Mary was a proud member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served on the Nursing Board, Floral Club and a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #22 Rose of Shorn.
Mary was stern and discipline, but a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed having things in order which was reflected in her cooking, sewing and gardening. Her favorite pastime was traveling, shopping and doing word search.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert E. Beasley, and three brothers, Virgie L. Horne, James L. Horne and Jesse L. Horne.
Mary is survived by her three children,Janice H. (Cleveland) Reid, Drucilla B. Green and James (Lynn) Beasley all of Thomasville, NC; eight grandchildren, thirteen great– grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
