Obituary

Jessie Huggins was born December 12, 1929, in Darlington, South Carolina to the late Clara Huggins. On May 11, 2020, he quietly departed this life while in the comfort of his home in Thomasville, North Carolina.

Jessie received his early education in Darlington, South Carolina. After leaving school at an early age, Jessie went to work in the saw mill industry in Dillion, South Carolina. After retirement he moved to North Carolina. Jessie loved the Lord. He was a man who never complained. He always made the best of every situation. He valued the tranquility of a quiet life. As a quiet and gentle man, Jessie found peace in the comfort of his home. He enjoyed listen to the radio, his favorite station was “BBM”. Family and friends will miss his giving spirit.

Jessie was proceeded in death by his mother, his son, Leonard McDaniel, and his brother, Otis Brown.

Jessie is survived by his four daughters, Julia( Brandt) Peoples of Trinity, NC, Lizzie (Henry) Payne of Thomasville, NC, Clara (James) Hayes of Lakeview, SC and Wanda Wheeler of Dillion, SC; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and host of other relative and friends.
