Obituary

Cathleen Worthy was born on July 20, 1936, in Thomasville, North Carolina to the proud parents of Tom Worthy and Maggie Davis Worthy. She was granted her angel’s wing on January 13, 2023, at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton, North Carolina.

“Kitty Kat” as she was fondly called by family and friends will be remembered as a kind, loving and caring person, who enjoyed socializing with all her neighbors. She loved Arts and Crafts, dancing, and listening to music. Her favorite artists was Percy Sledge and Al Green.

“Kitty Kat” will be missed by all who crossed her path. Her pleasant smile and angelic spirit will be embedded in our hearts forever. Family will miss her loving gesture of sticking out her tongue (which meant she loved you!) .

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, John Worthy, James Worthy, Charles Worthy, Chanell Worthy, Hattie McCant, Ann Winston, Rosa Duncan and Pauline Blackwell. .

Leaving to cherish her memories is her sister, Geraldine Dunlap of Washington, DC, a special friend, David, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends.
