The Obituary


Christopher Lamont Luckey was born on January 17, 1976, in Thomasville, North Carolina to Annie Lou Luckey McKinzie and the late David Perkins. He was blessed and reared by Oli McKeinze. His earthly journey came to a quiet closure on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Christopher graduated with the Class of 1993, from Thomasville Senior High in Thomasville, North Carolina. He was employed with S K Hauling as a truck driver for 2 years.

“Chris” as family and friends called him will be remembered for his calmness, easy going spirit, vibrant smile and outstanding style—fashionista! He loved his family; especially his mother. “Mommy’s Boy” as he was called by his siblings visited his mother everyday to ensure she had everything she needed. Chris was also a giver to others, ask and you will receive, even the shirt off his back. His hobbies were cars, trucks and music. Chris will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Perkins.

Surviving to cherish his memories are his five children; Christopher Luckey, Jr. Janhri Luckey, Dystany Luckey, and Jamyia Luckey all of Thomasville, NC and London Luckey of Lexington, NC; four brothers, Leronda (Michelle) Luckey and Rodney Craig Thomas of Thomasville, NC, David Perkins of Wadesboro, NC , and Albert Durant of Elliott, SC; three sisters, Judy (Anthony) Fleming of Elliott, SC, Linda (James, Sr.) Burgess and Ester (Johnny) Kennedy both of Thomasville, NC, five nephews whom he help raised, Scotty Luckey, Jamoderick Luckey, Akeem Fleming, Javone Wilson and Ronta Burgess, one niece, Carmilla Morrison, three aunts, Irene Wilson of Elliott, SC and Lannie Luckey of Baltimore, MD and Earnestine Thomas of Thomasville, NC and a special friend, Karra Mason and a host other relatives and friends to who he loved and adored.
