Obituary

On September 9, 1994 David Tyron Pate, Jr., was born in High Point North Carolina to his parents, David Tyrone, Sr., and Sharon Redfern Pate. In the early morning of December 3, 2021, he surrendered to his master to come home.

David received in general education through Guilford County school system attending Southern Guilford High School until his senior year, he transferred to High Point Central in High Point, North Carolina. He graduated with the Class of 2012. He later enrolled into Barber school to become a barber, but diverted his own dreams to care for his beloved grandmother, Gwendolyn Redfearn until her passing in 2015. Preparing for his own career he again devoted himself to his family roots, David operated and managed the family business, Triad Master Finish in High Point, North Carolina as a detail manager.

“Ty” as he was affectionately called by family and friends will truly be missed. His passion to share his time through conversations, playing spades (also known as the champion of Spades, along with his mom) and playing video games such as Fort Knight, Madden and 2K, will captivate our memories forever. During his pastime he enjoyed watching cooking shows enticing his sister, Jennie to duplicate the recipes and traveling to the beach.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his parents David T. Pate, Sr. and Sharon R. Pate of the home, two sisters, Jennie Pate of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Stephanie Pate of Clarkston, Atlanta, a beautiful niece Michelle Jane and a handsome nephew Ken-Ken to whom he adored. Aunt, Stella “Shell” Redfearn of Albemarle, NC and uncle, David Miller of Winston-Salem; a special sister-friend, Jade Moore of Winston-Salem, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Produce another tear. Ima wrap this up by saying nobody owes me anything and I’m not asking for anything, but I am leaving my 2 Pride and Joys out here, my niece (MJ), nephew (Ken) if you see they bad asses out and about, remind them they uncle is always with them forever. “

-Ty
