The Obituary

After going over many mountains and through numerous valleys, Franklin Jerome Chaney made his transition from this life to life eternal on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. He was born July 26, 1950 in Thomasville, NC, a son of the late George Chaney, Sr. and Addie Bell Strickland Chaney. He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Katherine Chaney Jones, Ola Chaney Walker, Mary Chaney Eberheart, Ruby Nell Chaney and Evelyn Jean Chaney; one brother, William Rogers Chaney.

“Frank”, as he was fondly called by family and friends, was a lifelong resident of Thomasville, NC, where he attended Church Street School.

Those left to cherish precious memories are one daughter, Danielle (Rico) Smith of Thomasville, NC; one son, Frank Solomon of High Point, NC; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Josephine Mack, Woodie (Joe) Harper and Annette Harris, all of Thomasville, NC; one brother, George Chaney, Jr. of Fallsburg, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
