Obituary

On Tuesday, December 29, 2020, Jerry Wayne Samuels answered the Masters Call earning his wings and entered into Heaven’s gates.

On April 6, 1960, Jerry was born in Thomasville, North Carolina to the late Herman and Ella Mae Medley Samuels. Blessed and loved dearly by the late James and Annie Medley. He attended and graduated from Thomasville Senior High with the class of 1979.

Jerry will be remembered for love and loyalty. His outstanding personality and genuine love for family and friends. His zest of making people laugh. He was a natural comedian. But mostly his love for the Lord!

Heaven gates swung open as Jerry met his parents, maternal grandparents and one brother, Terry Wilder in Heaven.

Memories of Jerry singing “Wade in the Water and “Long as I Got Shoes” will be carried by his two sons, Terbarrest Hare of Thomasville, NC and Deion Samules of Winston-Salem, NC, three brothers, Micheal Medley of High Point, NC, Herman “Randy” (Karen) Samuels of Thomasville, NC and Timothy (Cassandra) Wilder of Lexington, NC, three sisters, April (John) Caraway, Donna Wilder and Shunda Samuels, and one aunt, Shelby Jean Rubin, one uncle, Roosevelt Samuels and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
