Matthew 11:28-29
March 24, 1944, God released an angel named Julia Mae Cannon to begin her earthly journey. She was born to the late Willie Lee Cannon and Willa Mae Thomas Cannon in Thomasville, North Carolina. On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, God called Julia back to her heavenly home.
Julia will be remembered as the greatest fashionista who loved to go shopping for anything. Becoming a true collector! She always found treasures whenever she was out and about. Her bonus would be wining through her lottery scratch off tickets. She also enjoyed playing cards, going for walks, and cooking. Her specialties were gumbo and deviled eggs, her dishes will surely be missed. Family was everything to Julia, she would do anything for her family. Her contagious and vibrant spirit will surely be missed by all that she touched.
Julia was proceeded in death by her parents; three sisters: Nellie Swagerty, Peggy Green and Betty Rose Thomas; two brother, Clyde “Jimbo” Cannon and Joe M. Cannon.
She leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to her two special nieces and caregivers, Colisa C. Kearns and Teresa Swagerty; nephews: Joe Cannon, Roger Cannon, Corey Cannon, Willie Holmes, William Richardson, Vincent Green, George Swagerty, Craig Swagerty, and Mark Swagerty; nieces, Joleather Correll, Betty Rich, Ann Green, Stacey Middleton, Amy Kirkland; first cousins, Elizabeth Berry, Mattie Bloomfield, Diana Beckett, Dave Kendall and Dorothy Kendall; three special friends; Sue Gibson of NC, Rose Edward of TN, Marlene and Vivian of NY, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
