Celebrating the life of....Marshall Edward Lindsay, Jr.




January 17, 1948 - December 21, 2020


Marshall Edward Lindsay, Jr. was born January 17, 1948, in Thomasville, NC. He was the oldest son of the late Edward and Florine Lindsay. On December 21, 2020, Marshall peacefully transitioned into eternal rest surrounded by his three children and brother.

Marshall was a 1966 graduate of Church Street High School in Thomasville and attended Elizabeth City State University on a football scholarship. Later he transferred to Winston-Salem State University where he studied elementary education. He was employed for 33 years at Component Concepts and retired at Banner Pharamcaps. Marshall will be remembered as a man who had a great personality and sense of humor. He was a huge college football and NFL fan who “devoted” his weekends to watching games all day. The Carolina Panthers was his favorite team. Marshall enjoyed cooking, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his family.

In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregory Lindsay, Reginald Lindsay and one very special nephew that he considered a son, Michael Lindsay.

Those left to cherish his memories are his three children, Felecia (Oscar), Johnson, of Eden, NC, Marshall Lindsey, III of Savannah., GA and Sallyta Lindsay of High Point, NC, his brother and best friend Myer Lindsay, three grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Kacie Lindsay, and Deshawn Auerswald. His nephew, Stephen and two nieces, Dedrica and Angela, several other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
