Our beloved mother, Phyllis Worthy Horne, transitioned to her eternal home peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on August 3, 1952, in Thomasville, North Carolina to the late James "Teddy Bear" Worthy and Donzelle Dawkins Worthy.
Phyllis attended Thomasville Senior High School. She graduated in the class of 1970. She attended Ashmore Business College.
Phyllis was a faithful member of St. John AME Zion where she sang on the choir and served as a member of the Missionary Department and the Lay Member Council.
