Life ‘s Journey
On May 21, 1991 Tuwanna Nicole Benson was born to the parents of the late Travis O. Timberlake and Frankie L. Benson in High Point, North Carolina. On September 21, 2021 she entered into heaven to accompany her second mother, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Farabee. She was also proceeded in death by her grandfather, Frank Benson, Jr and two uncles, Audie Benson and Fredrick Benson.
She was a member of St. John AME Church. As a youth she participated in the youth choir and danced on the liturgical dance team. She attended Thomasville Senior High School with the class of 2009.
Nikki as she was affectionately called by family and friends was a very kind, caring and loving person. She gave unselfishly. She loved to assist all in need and would give you the shirt off her back. Which reflected in her employment with United Health Care as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Family and friends will reminisce the love and care Nikki also displayed to others. She especially adored babies. Her heart would be filled with joy when she was in company with a baby. Her glamour post on Instagram and Face Book and her lavish hair styles. She will truly be missed by everyone.
Leaving to cherish her legacy are her six children Naeem Acevedo, Nyssa Acevedo, Neyna Acevedo, Nakayla Johnson, Naveah Johnson and Kenney Johnson, Jr.; her mother Frankie Benson of Winston-Salem, NC, her brother, Arthur Gregory Farabee of Winston-Salem, NC, Sister Carlissa Benson of Kernersville, NC, grandmother, Eunice Benson of Midway, NC; two aunts, Tuwanna (Steve) Glenn and Janice Melvin, best friend Mario “Masterpiece” Fuller and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and other relatives and friends.
