Obituary

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe

On July 27, 1944 in Asheboro, North Carolina Willie Marie Johnson was born to the late Willie Dickson and Janie Wilson Dickson. As God granted Willie a full circle of life for 79 years, she transitioned this earthly life on the day God gave her life, July 27, 2023 for her eternal home.

Willie Marie received her formal education within the Randolph County school system. She continued her education earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. After several years in the medical field, she retired in 2019 to enjoy spending quality time with her family.

Steadfast in her faith, she was a member of Church of God of Prophecy (COGOP). While under the leadership of Pastor James Ricks, she joined the spiritual team of ministers. Minister Marie finished her ministry under the leadership of Pastor James McLendon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Wilson and sister, Catherine Wilson.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Annette (Cecil) Perry of Salisbury, NC; three grandson, James (Yossy) Wilson of Concord, NC, Andrew Jones and Joshua Malloy both of Salisbury, NC; two grand goddaughters, Cassandra Cheek of Concord and Peniel Davis of Charlotte, NC; one great granddaughter, Ayanna Wilson of Texas; one sister Hattie Lee (George) Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.
