Obituary



Tony Albert Coleman, son of the late David and Sallie Henderson Coleman  was born on January 23, 1938 in Newberry, South Carolina. Tony entered into heaven on Monday, April 5, 2021.


Tony received his education from Newberry County school system. As a young adult he relocated to Thomasville, North Carolina. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where he sung with the male chorus. On Tony’s career path he worked as a machinist and later retired from Southern Film Extruders.   


During Tony’s leisure time he enjoyed watching TV; Westerns, Law & Order and sports especially UNC “Tarheels”!. But most of all Tony enjoyed spending quality time with his family time.


Tony was proceed in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Kaci Marie Epps; one brother, Jackie Coleman; and one sister-in-law, Mary Louise Thronton.


Tony leaves to cherish his memories to his lovely wife of 61 years, Freddie Beatty Coleman of the home, one stepdaughter, Patrice (David)Epps-Carr, one special granddaughter, Keri (Kerry) Epps-Rashad of High Point, NC; two great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kayla; one great-great grandson, Jace; two brothers, Andrew (Birgit) Henderson and David Coleman; two sister-in-laws, Susan Coleman and Shirley Beatty; one brother-in-law, Charles R. Beatty; a special friend, Philamons Young and a host of other relatives and friends.
